Terms of service
Last updated: 27 August 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of technestsolutions.co.uk and any order you place with TECHNEST. Please read them before ordering. By placing an order you agree to them.
Nothing in these Terms reduces your statutory rights as a consumer. Where any part of these Terms conflicts with those rights, your statutory rights prevail.
1. Who we are
TECHNEST

2. Using our website
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, to place an order. You agree to use the site lawfully and not to:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or any connected system;
- introduce viruses, malware or any other harmful code;
- scrape, harvest or systematically extract content or customer data;
- place fraudulent or speculative orders;
- post reviews or content that is false, unlawful, offensive or infringes anyone's rights.
We may suspend or refuse service to anyone who breaches this section.
3. Products and descriptions
We describe our products as accurately as we can. Images, colours and packaging are for illustration — the item you receive may differ slightly in appearance, and manufacturers sometimes change specifications or packaging without notice.
All products we sell are new unless the listing expressly says otherwise. Technical specifications are supplied by the manufacturer. If a specification matters to your purchase, please check with us before ordering.
Products are offered subject to availability. Where an item is out of stock after you order, we will tell you promptly and refund you in full.
4. Price and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). Delivery charges are added at checkout and shown before you pay — see our Shipping Policy.
Payment is taken at the time you order, through our payment providers. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout, and we do not store your full card details.
We may change prices at any time, but a change will never affect an order we have already accepted.
5. Pricing and description errors
Despite our best efforts, an item may occasionally be listed at an incorrect price or with an incorrect description. Where the error is obvious and you could reasonably have recognised it as a mispricing, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, even after we have sent an order confirmation. We will always contact you first and give you the option to reorder at the correct price.
6. How a contract is formed
This section matters, so we set it out plainly:
Before despatch, we may decline an order — for example if the item is unavailable, we identify a pricing error, we cannot obtain payment authorisation, or we suspect fraud. If we decline, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
7. Delivery
Delivery options, costs, timescales and customs charges are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Goods remain our responsibility until they are delivered to you.
8. Cancellation, returns and refunds
Your right to cancel, return items and obtain a refund is set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary, you have a 30-day right to change your mind on most items, and separate rights if goods are faulty or not as described.
9. Faulty goods and warranty
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Products also normally carry a manufacturer's warranty of at least 12 months, which is in addition to your statutory rights and not a replacement for them. Full detail is in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
10. Intellectual property
The TECHNEST name, logo, site design, text, graphics and product photography are owned by or licensed to us, and are protected by intellectual property law. You may view and print pages for your own personal use. You may not reproduce, republish or use them commercially without our written permission.
Third-party brand names, logos and trade marks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the products we sell.
11. Our liability to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- breach of your legal rights in relation to the goods, including the right to receive goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, as described, and matching any sample or model shown to you;
- defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.
We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, or for loss of profit, business, business interruption or business opportunity, as we supply goods for domestic and private use.
Data and software: please back up your data before returning any device or having it repaired. We are not responsible for the loss of data stored on a device you send to us, or on a device that develops a fault.
12. Events outside our control
We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, courier or postal strikes, failure of utilities or telecoms networks, fire, flood, epidemic, civil unrest or the acts of government. If such an event occurs we will contact you as soon as possible, and you may cancel and receive a full refund for anything not yet delivered.
13. Your privacy
We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order is the version that applies to that order. Please check this page before ordering.
15. Other terms
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. If we do not insist on a right immediately, that does not prevent us from doing so later. This contract is between you and us — no one else has any rights under it.
You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written agreement. We may transfer our rights and obligations, and will tell you if we do; this will not affect your rights.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own courts. If you are a consumer resident outside the United Kingdom, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live.
17. Complaints
